Marco! Marco! Marco!
This young man found me on none other than Model Mayhem. The pics he had in his profile were no way in comparison to the my own, and he only had three. Why does he want to work with me?!? His pictures were by far stunning and I didn’t think I could live up to what he expected from me.
I’m a newbie, I haven’t worked with a stylist, make-up artist or any of that. Just me and a model. (That’s why I like guys because it’s so easy to shoot them) Well Marco had it set in his mind what he wanted. Wardrobe, make-up artist, a high fashion edge and me as the photographer. “Uh, okay, I’ll reach out to some people.”
Either people wanted money or they just wasn’t interested. Didn’t stop us, we lucked up and landed the multitalented Luigi. This man does hair, he does make-up, and he styles. Luigi turned a shirt into a skirt. He made a sequin top a scarf. He’s amazing.
With three looks, the first one in the picture above, we first went to Marco’s roof. If anyone knows me, they know I love a nice view and a nice rooftop. Marco poses really well and he knows his angles. It was easy working with him.
I’m really proud of this photo shoot.
Marco Palou and I spent a sunny Monday afternoon shooting high fashion and music shots (he’s a singer) on top of his rooftop. Styled by the amazing and multitalented Luigi, Marco donned a shirt as a skirt, a sequin top as scarf and the simple yet chic look of all black joined by a brown leather suitcase. Inspired by looking through Vogue, I wanted to capture a high fashion edge.
As the sun began to fall, we took a short walk to Times Square, bringing a mic along for the journey. Watch the behind the scene footage + pics.
